The Harkness Fellowship is provided by the Commonwealth Fund, which is focused on promoting high-performing health care systems for everyone – and particularly for society’s most vulnerable.

Fellows will be able to spend one year in the United States conducting internationally comparative research. The aim of this fellowship is to support independent research on health care issues and to improve health care practices and policies.

This fellowship is intended for midcareer professionals who are committed to advancing health policy and practice in the Commonwealth Fund’s principal areas of interest: improving health insurance coverage, access to care, the quality and efficiency of care delivery, and advancing health equity.
